2018: Woolsey Fire: Sharp Hospital Volunteers Assembled 250 Home Loss File Systems
2018: Woolsey Fire: Ashford University Volunteers Assembled 100 Home Loss File Systems
In December 2018, a team at Ashford University gathered over 3 consecutive days to assemble 100 Home Loss File System boxes to help the communities in Los Angeles that were affected by the Woolsey Fire. The boxes were transported to the Westlake Village Library where they were distributed to survivors, free of charge, who attended a United Policy Holder workshop to learn more about insurance related issues and fire recovery. Thank you Out of the Ashes leadership team for collaborating with us along each step of this process. We really enjoyed being involved in this service project.

2017: Thomas Fire: ProSource Wholesale Assembled 200 Home Loss File Systems
The 2017 Thomas Fire devastated much of Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties. Upon learning about the many losses from friends and clients, ProSource Wholesale reached out to Barbara and the Out of the Ashes folks to see how we could help. With their guidance and with the help of many volunteers in the community, we assembled the Home Loss File System boxes, and distributed them to fire survivors at an orientation and informational meeting held in Ventura by United Policy Holders. The fire survivors were very grateful and we still hear back from them. We are extremely pleased that we could do our part in helping our neighbors in need to start the process of getting their lives organized once again!
